NMCVA will promote accountability within the criminal justice system and will advocate positive change that will add credibility and insure public safety. This will protect the lives and property of law abiding citizens and uphold victims rights. When necessary we will call upon members to participate in public displays of solidarity and influence. We will strive to educate and bring awareness to interested parties and our communities and will work with them to find solutions to problems that will improve the justice system.

NMCVA will allow victim assistance specialists to seek peer support or to gain new insight from the experience of others, while respecting case confidentiality and the right to privacy which all crime victims expect and deserve
